Lopen Sangay Tshering is a Tibetan and Dzonghka languages teacher. He was born in 1980 in Paro, Bhutan. He finished his high school education in Bhutan in 2002 with Class X (ten) at Drukgyel Higher Secondary School in Paro where he focused on Dzongkha, English, History, Civics, Geography, Mathematics, Sciences, Economics. After that he decided to ensue his passion for Buddhist Studies. In 2003 he enrolled at the Dartshang Medium Higher School of Schechen Insitute in Bodgaya, India. Here he studied the basis of Tibetan Language, Tibetan History and of course, Tibetan Buddhism. He lived in Bodgaya's Schechen Monastery for two years, from 2003 to 2005. In 2005 he was allowed for further studies at the Schechen Institute of Nyingmapa Buddhist Philosophy (Shedra) in Kathmandu, Nepal. He studied Buddhist Tantras and Sutras with the monastic life for six more years, until he achieved the Madhyama Diploma in 2011. Lopen Sangay has a great experience in teaching Tibetan language, as he has been for many years the teacher for the younger monks at the Monastery. When in Nepal he also started free private classes for westerns who were willing to learn Tibetan in order to study deep into Tibetan Buddhist texts and philosophy. He lives in Europe since 2012 where is learning Latin Languages. The lessons will be done in Tibetan (or Dzongkha if that's your choice) from the medium language of English.
